Default What belt for vtwin power?

Wondering what belt everyone is running on their twin? The one I have now is slipping no matter how tight it’s adjusted.

I have used 3 different drive belts on my G 14 VC460. First I used the VC supplied engine swap belt. I ran that for over 200 hours trouble free. I started reading on ATV sites about using super performance belts with the comet 780. The next one up was the dayco TXT 2264. I cost about $70 and there was a noticeable performance gain over the supplied VC belt. Another member here made me aware of an even better dayco unit the HPX 2248. And again the was a noticeable performance gain. This belt was about $80. I know some members are using Gboost belts. These performance belts cost more than the swap supplier belts. And remember the kit sellers are just buying and reselling some manufactures belt. When you go right to the base belt manufactures you get a belt designed for much more power and the results show. The whole secret to why the more expensive belts work better is the beveled edges that actually contact the clutch surfaces are larger. Better grip on the clutches bevels, less slippage, and less heat generation. . The VC belt measured .510"s ,the dayco HPX .653"s and lastly the dayco TXT .775"s.
