Default Is this correct?

I installed a 23hp briggs with some mild mods to take it to around 35ish hp and added the new comet clutch, but I had to add all of these washers to mount the clutch. Is this right? Power seems good, but wont pull any steep sand hills. Not sure if it's a clutch issue or just not enough hp. I do have 6:1 gears too

Why do ya gotta have all the washers? Bolt to long? 6:1 Gears are why ya can't climb the big hills...

From the pics it look like your belt is pretty loose and your engine isn't lined up right. If you can move your engine forward some or get a shorter belt that'll help gain you some low end power (changes the gearing ratio of the cvt) If you don't have a 28deg driven clutch you may want to look into getting one, it'll help with the pulling power also. there's a sticky thread that lists the parts needed to convert 36deg clutch to 28deg in the ezgo tech section. I would think 35hp would be enough to power the little cart even with 6 to 1 gears anywhere you wanted to go, but I haven't seen the "hills" your talking about.

If the hills he's talking about are China Wall or Oldsmobile he's probably not gonna go up those.

I'm not totaly sure what was done to the motor. I ordered it from alpha carts so I'm going to call them today to find out. Do you think I sould go back to stock gears or 8:1? the tires are 25in mudilghts. The motor is mounted all the way at the back and if I move it forward at all the cart will crawl forward while idleing at 1250rpm. I tried to add a tach but I gave up trying to get it to work. Its an iEquus 8068. Now I use a tiny tach that seems to work, just hard to read.
