Default Hit a snag on the vc 625 install

Got everything in and wired did my break in. When I went to put all the body pieces back on the valve cover on the motor has no space to allow the shifter to go back on. Motor was set to the measurement that was recommended. Any ideas?n

You may have to see if you can slide the engine rearward and obtain a slightly shorter drive belt.

Another question. My cart now with everything installed goes twice as fast in reverse than forward. Shouldn’t my club car motor be spinning clockwise?

Would only do 14-15 in forward and got up to 30 in reverse before I let off

You didnt read the website did you?

https://vegascarts.com/collections/c...ar-ds-carryall

This is highlighted in the description:

"Forward will become Reverse and Reverse will become forward on 1997+ Club Cars due to a change in engine rotation. 97+ Club Cars originally came with Clockwise rotation engines but you will be replacing with a Counter Clockwise engine. This has no I’ll effect on the longevity of your cart. It will however lower your forward gear ratio from approximately 12:1 to 18:1 . The cart will have massive torque but top speed will be limited due to engine rev limit. If you need additional top speed or to lower cruising rpm, replace the rear axle gears with 6:1 or 8:1 gear sets."

You could swap in a pre 1997 CCW transaxle, and that would also fix the issue.

I ordered 6-1 gears. That way I wouldn’t need a new cradle and to find a doner rear end. If down the road I come across one for cheap I may change my mind :)

And I just relocated my shifter so I could still get the oil filter off
