Belt issues
I’m putting a 420 predator into a 1989 club car. The issue I’m having is the factory belt is to short and I can’t find a 1 inch belt longer than the factory one. Any help would be awesome.

Re: Belt issues
I think CPP maybe Vegas has the long belt, last I knew there were only those two belts available for 1" wide CC.

Re: Belt issues
Can you give us some more info on your swap? How you mounted the 420 in there? I just put a 420 in my 88 Club Car and was able to use the stock belt still using the starter/generator. I believe the stock belt is 37 1/2.

Re: Belt issues
Think it is THIS one its 42". Far as I know there are no others, its been an issue for CC swaps.
I put a clone in my G9 with the stock belt, measured and made it the same distance. The clone was higher but it worked out fine for years. One day I swapped to a 94c replacement clutch and it was tighter on the belt. I could not move the engine it was hitting the trans shifter. Finally had to pull the clone and use a longer belt for a polaris atv, drill new holes to mount engine, redo the gen. But its all good now it shifts better and works great. |

Re: Belt issues
This is the longest belt I could find at the time (about 8 years ago) that would work for me. It's right around 42". I'll get a better pic today showing all the info stamped on the belt.

Re: Belt issues
Forgot to mention the engine is mounted as far fwd as possible to clear the transaxle governor, hence the need for a longer than usual belt.

Re: Belt issues
Never mind. I'm an idiot. I missed the belt width in your first post.
