Default Exhaust Header Flange

I am going to change the stock VC625 header to a full 1.5" from the exhaust flange. Sort of like Brutal Soldier did. I was thinking if using a new flange rather than reusing the stock flange but I only see 460 flanges offered at VC. I think the header for the 625 is different but I'm not sure. Plus the bolt pattern and center hole should be larger, I assume.

Any idea how I should proceed? Make my own or does someone offer blanks that might work?

Give VC a call or email. Just cause it is not on the web doesn’t mean they don’t have it.

Good idea. Even if they use the same flange for the 460 and 625 using a new flange would be easier than cleaning all the weld off the old flange before opening the center hole to match the exhaust port. The stock header flange hole is much smaller than the ID of the 1.25" od pipe used.

We have some flanges, what size are you looking for?

For the 625 that would accommodate a 1.5" OD exhaust tube. Or close to it.

It occurred to me over the weekend that I have the muffler end of the kit header with the flange on it. But I can't tell if it is the same dimensions as the engine end of the header.

We use 1.250" OD but it has an inside step that can be removed to open the ID of the hole more but it will not be 1.5" OD without further modifications.

Is the muffler flange the same as the header flange?
