Old school B&S
Not exactly a Big Block question, but I can't seem to find anything discussions of clones and V-twins, so here goes: I've got a '97 EZGO gas with a blown Robin 295. I also have a B&S 12hp snowblower motor, the old fashioned upright cylinder type. It's not old (4 years) and runs strong. 3/4" straight shaft. It's 17" tall, but not much wider than the Robin.
Has anyone done this or similar? Photos? I know I will need the clutch adaptor bushings and to fab up a motor mount. Any advice appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Old school B&S
Clone swaps are here. There's also clone threads in this section too. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/clone-engine-swaps/
A better way to find stuff here is to use Google instead of the site search function. Add EZGO (or other key words) to this if you want to be more specific to what you have: www.buggiesgonewild.com clone engine |

Re: Old school B&S
Thanks, I've tried every variation in Google that I could think of, usually with results that were clone-engine, electric-to-gas conversions, or completely irrelevant. That's why I posted here, thinking that maybe someone had been creative with a non-clone engine. I'm going to attempt this. I'll post the results for posterity.

Sorry I thought you meant you couldn't find any clone info. RIB is right. It's all here somewhere. There's even diesel engine installs.

D'OH! Should have said, "Can't find anything BUT discussions of clones", etc. Sorry.
Never mind, I just set about doing the swap today. Just finished my motor mount. It looks like it's going to work nicely. |

After I re-read it I realized there was a missing word. I should have realized what you meant. I king leaving words out. If you can, post some pics and info about what you're doing so the next guy will have the help you were looking for. I'm interested in how you're making out too.
