Not sure when I should get out of the big block forum and switch it to a different forum for a complete build.

Anyways here what I have. Made new brackets for my swingarm and lowered them about 1 1/2" for some engine clearance. So overall I'm going to end up with a 1 1/2" total lift to fit the engine and the tires. Granted the tires are going to lift it 3 1/2" when they get put on there. So grand total lift will be 5" higher then stock and it will be sitting on 25" tires. Pretty good I have to say and about what I was looking for. Here are some pics to show some of the progress. I just have my swingarm mounts tacked in place untill I get my new welder near the end of the week. Still havent got my machine time for my wheel adapters just yet hopefully by the end of the week I'll have them

I think I may be changing tire size to keep my stance a little lower and my wheelbase a little bit tighter. I think i'm going to get a set of 23" x 11" ITP Holeshots and mount them up to an 8" rim. I'd like to go with the 25" but im concerned with breaking stuff, a lack of torque and just the overall higher center of gravity. I would also like the abilty to rotate the tires at some point and time also.

I'm hoping to get the front dropped down and moved forward to accept the tires here this weekend.

I just ran the engine yesterday to see how the stock G9 fuel pump would work off the crankcase pressure. Works like a champ. My engine had a fitting under the carb that is tapped into the crankcase.

That is great, pulled the engine out of my G9 today, and ordered a Comet 780 clutch. Not sure what belt I will need, I will know more once I get the clutch. Not moving the rear end, so might be able to use stock belt. I wish there were some proformance parts for the Briggs 18 hp Twin II engine. Talked to a guy at carpartsplus today, told me he did not have anything for it, besides clutch.

I think your stock belt is still going to be to short. Even tho I moved my swingarm back it did not change the distance between the engine and the differential. The cylinder head towards the rear end is maybe a 1/4" away from the shifter cables. Once you set it in there you'll figure it out. I've been learning as I go.

I found some tires... Ended up still being 25" tall, but they are very nice tires and brand new for 15 bucks a tire. Now I just have to figure out where to get some nice cheap 12" wheels. Oh these tires are 205/80 R12 ITP holeshot ATR radial tires 6ply. They are about 25x8x12.

yzeffer, I think you are right about the stock belt being to short, took a rough look at it today. you said (Found a belt, 45" long one from an EZGO), You know what year, or model EZGO the 45" belt came from?
