No Ray, I don't own one but I have driven an EZGO ( not sure of the year, it's newer)that has the complete bolt in kit installed on it. It's a nice set up. I'll hand it to Vegas Carts on just about anything they sell....their R&D does produce good products. Great group of guys to deal with.

AND the VC 625 produces 5 ft/lbs more torque than the 23 hp vanguard.

The Vanguard may rev a little quicker giving the impression of more seat of the pants power. With the stock TXT gearing my 625 felt like it could pull a stump even at mid range RPM. Still feels very strong with 8:1 gearing.

I'm hopefully finishing up my 625 install tonight. The kit didn't arrive with a replacement fuel pump. I ordered a new Club Car OEM pump and it was overfilling the carb. Vegas carts sent me out one of their pumps which is out for delivery today. If it doesn't fix the issue, there is a mod to put a T in line after pump and put excess fuel back into tank.

1) I have an extra bracket left over from the kit, I sent a picture to vegas carts. They said it was a regulator relocation bracket (not the starter solenoid bracket which I did). I've gone through the install instructions and it does not mention a regulator relocation at all. It's been 4 days with no response from VC. Any thoughts?

2) Does this engine have a electronic rev limiter? I thought I read somewhere 4000 RPM however mine goes above that. Does anyone know what the maximum safe continuous RPM is for this engine?

Does it look like this? Website states they are electronically limited to 4,000 rpms. Have you verified that your tach is setup correctly?

No that bracket is for the throttle box relocation. My tach seems to be working properly based on reading at idle.

Does it look like this:

If so, take the current regulator bracket off, and put this bracket on.

Bigger, stronger, better.

The original regulator that was in my 1989 Club Car DS was in the throttle box. I removed all original electrical from the throttle box (solenoid, regulator, and microswitches). These were all replaced with VC engine and wiring harness.

Yes, that is the extra bracket I was referring to. Is this bracket intended to relocate the regulator / electronics on the new 625 engine?

I installed the new fuel pump that VC sent me yesterday. It overfilled the carb at idle and the gas spit out of the carb. I've never seen a carb that didn't have an overflow tube, seems crazy to me to have the fuel spit out of the bottom of the carb like that. Anyway, I installed a T between the pump and carb with the extra line dumping back into the gas tank. I used the clear hose so I could see what was going on. A surprisingly large amount of fuel went back into the tank. As RPMs were increased less went to the tank although a significant amount still went to the tank. I went on several extended runs and watched the lines, the carb was never starved for fuel, the fuel filter was always charged. All good now. I wonder if a small lawn tractor or an electric fuel pump would be better suited?

As an aside, the throttle box relocation bracket that came with the kit did not work for my 1989 DS. I tried installing it six different ways. The square box when relocated still came into contact with the engine preventing proper alignment. I ended up gutting the box, leaving only the throttle plate, and cutting it to fit. - Not a complaint just a FYI for future 1989 DS customers. It was frustrating.

I have the 625 carb on my 460. No matter which fuel pump I used a return line was needed so the carb would not spill gas out the vent at idle.
