Default Vegas Carts 622cc. Who here has one?

who here has one? Was it just as strong running as you hoped for? I’m going to finish putting mine in tomorrow evening. Can’t wait!

I just realized my typo. It's the 625cc that I bought. I'm hearing good things about this motor and can't wait to test mine out.

Mine ran right at 40mph with two grown men in it and a rear seat kit (added weight). And it probably would have gone much faster had I defeated the governor..

22" tires and a 6" lift.

PLENTY of power.. Wheelies were a breeze.

Here's a couple of pictures..

WOW! Really! That is awesome! Did you do a gear swap in the rear end of your cart? My tires are 20" so it won't go that fast. I was think it would go 25mph with the governor.....so I might be in for a pleasant surprise.

Stock gearing.. Technically it was 39mph by GPS (only time I ever checked speed).

Nice! If mine does 28mph with stock gears I'll be very, very happy.

It's a good motor. It's not a built race ready engine like their 460 but it runs extremely well. Plenty of torque. Not Vanguard V-twin torque but very nice for large displacememt single cylinder engine. Another thing I noticed with the 625 is that it seems to have a lot less valve train noise when compared to a 420/460. It idles very smooth and sounds great. Seems like it's balanced better than other single cylinder clones I've seen.

Do you actually have one or just guessing about the 625 ? Vegascarts lists the peak torque rating as 38ft/lbs@2200 and B&S the 627cc 23 hp engine as 32.5 ft/lbs@2600 rpms.
