25hp kawasaki engine swaps with VC kits
Lets start with i have a 93 marathon with a robin engine, also with a large hole in the block. Shop wants 1800 to rebuild, **** THAT! So im doing research in the big block swaps, i have a very good friend that can get me 9.5hp,11.5hp,13hp,20hp and 25hp kawasaki brand new engines for a extreme deal. I like the vegas carts kits. But cant find any info on anyone using kawasaki engines? I should also add the 20 and 25 are liquid cooled. Has anyone ever tried squeezing one these bad ............. in a cart or should i just do. 13hp?

Re: 25hp kawasaki engine swaps with VC kits
Almost all of the Kawa engines I have seen are vertical crankshaft models. The few horizontal crankshaft models they show on their website are pretty tall.
What engine models are you referring to? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk |

Fe350,fe290,fe400,fd711d,fd620d. In my research the fe400 seems to be the motor in the newer ezgo golf carts. Or am I wrong on that?

Thanks for that!I'll take some notes. I do know the shaft is 1.5", I hope there's some clutchs out there that'll work?

Re: 25hp kawasaki engine swaps with VC kits
I know someone with a 27hp lc, its a beast and very tall. Thought about going to 25 tires and big lift, but did not do it. Mostly you are likely looking at different bolt pattern and few other details. Not many clutches with larger than 1" shafts, only a few. You can get adapters or cut the crank down. You might change up the airbox to cut height on engine, you have to fab up that stuff yourself, so expect more work to do all that. Exhaust may be different also. They are good engines no reason they can't work. My first lift and clone was before you could buy a kit for anything, I welded it up myself. Funny thing is the mount was the easiest part. It took a long time to get it all right, the kits save you a lot of time. My second one did go a lot faster lol.
