95 Medalist electric to BB??
Ok I have figured out Im going to convert my cart to a Big Block. Main question I have is what rear end do I need that will work on my Medalist? What years, and does it need to be out of a 4 cycle or 2 cycle cart? Whats my best option and probably easiest to find?
And with the conversion what all will I need? Im sure of the following. -Gas pedal swap -New F&R switch -Gas Tank (of course) -Rear End -Engine mount to axle (replace batt rack) Also what is the best swap for me? I would like a 4 cycle with F&R. With decent speed and tourqe. I was looking at the 18HP swap from CPP but dont you still have to mix oil and gas with those 2 cycles? I am new to this, just bought my 1st cart (which looks flooded) last weekend. So please bare with me. Thanks! And fabrication is not a issue. My main hobby is Minitruckin', I do bodydrops and air suspension. But my plan for the cart is to lift it, and bag it with a long travel kit. |

Ok really?
I know this probably gets asked way to much here, but I cant find my answers searching. And what I do find isnt as specific as what I am needing. Mainly need to know which axles I can use for this coversion. Or is any newer gas axle? That will be the next thing I need to find and buy. I dont want to jump on something I find if its not right. |

Use a newer 4 stroke rear end. Kits from CPP are not 2 stroke, no oil mixing.

Quit while you're WAY ahead and buy a gas cart. Seriously. That's the best advice.

I would rather not buy a gas cart, Im already bonded with the one I just bought. And if I did buy one I would probably do the samething anyway. I like building things from the ground up. And I am no where near being ahead trust me. This is what I am working with. And none of my electronics are good except maybe the F&R. |

Re: 95 Medalist electric to BB??
Any year 4-stroke ez-go cart rearend would work. I used one from a wrecked 2006 st-350 I found on ebay. If you keep your eyes peeled you can find them for $300-$400 every now and then. You'll need the forward and reverse switch and the bracket that attaches to the rearend. I used a dual cable setup from a 98 ez-go. Newer models use a single cable system and you'll need to know which one you're using before you order the CPP kits because they come with new f/r cables. Any year txt gas tank will work. I'll be posting pics of my electric to gas conversion soon.

Re: 95 Medalist electric to BB??
The best/cheapest way to get the parts for this conversion is to find a cart with a blown engine, then strip it of the needed parts.. Any 1997-up TXT or ST gasser would be a good candidate for a "donor" cart..
