Vegascarts swap kit with some clone engine or another. Still you are looking at about $1400 but it is all bolt in.

Predator or Lifan 420 cc. One from Harbor Freight and the other from Home Depot. Those are 2 of the many options.

If you are keeping the engine stock with the rev limiter etc, the Harbor Freight Predator 420cc is a good little engine for $379. You can eliminate the stock starter/generator and wiring, as it has it's own charging coil. If you are handy you can fabricate an engine mount, but you will need a 780 Comet clutch $250, and probably a new belt $35. You don't have to fabricate an exhaust because it comes with one. You can just buy a motor mount from Vegas Carts for $150 or less.

As RayHD said, if you buy the Vegas Carts install kit it will cost you about $1k. The advantage there is it has the clutch, belt, engine mount, hardware, and pipe, you'll just need a muffler. Buy the kit assumes you will reuse your starter/gen setup and comes with a pulley and belt for that.

I think I may just spend the cash and buy the whole kits from Vegas carts unless there’s some place else that’s less than 1900 bucks? I can do some fab if it’s like drilling holes to mount the motor properly on the current mount

The Home Depot Lifan has an 18amp charging setup so you can run lights and stuff. Most of the 420's only have a couple amp charging coil, enough to maintain the battery to start it the next time, but not much more than that.

I just put that Lifan into a TXT and am very happy with it. The install was very easy, and the only wiring I had to do was extending the 4 key switch wires to the dash. I did use the vegas carts "big block" engine mount, because the ezgo uses that funky floating mount setup. I chose the "big block" mount because I had no intentions of using the starter/generator the "clone" mount had provisions for. But with a club car, I think it would be pretty easy to fabricate something since the mount is basically a big flat surface already.

Also, plan on getting either the Comet or CVtech clutch, they're about $230ish I believe.

Your other option is to cut the crankshaft down, drill it out, tap it, and use a tapered adapter and you can use your stock clutch. But not only are you losing performance doing it that way, it's kind of a PITA. Well worth the $230 for a new clutch. And if your stocker is in good shape, you can recover some of that cost selling it.
