Help With Throttle on 23 Vanguard w/ pics
Okay so here we go motor is in, ready to go almost.... Having some issues with this throttle, I have the little billet arm deal and its just not working, It binds, doesnt pull right, etc etc. I have tried the cable in the bottom and top hole, springs pulling tension and the whole nine yards, has anyone come up with a better design or way to do it, thanks guys

Re: Help With Throttle on 23 Vanguard w/ pics
Yep His cart is coming together nice..... the belt should be here in a day or 2 . But we are still having trouble with this little billet throttle lever billet ...... is this what everybody is using? Can you take at look at this? It installs over the orig. throttle lever and reverses the action....but it is dang small and the braided cable wants to bind in it.... far from ideal ! What else is out there for this application? Thanks in advance

Re: Help With Throttle on 23 Vanguard w/ pics
did you look really close at the pictures from frank? It will bind if a strand separated from the main cable when you put it through the small hole for the cable. I had to cut mine twice to get it right. I have run a variety of springs to try and get the tension right. you have to use the little bolt and nut that came with the arm. it will tighten on the cable and still rotate in the hole

Re: Help With Throttle on 23 Vanguard w/ pics
I could not get it to move freely in the arm, it would bind on the cable. I dunno, I need to pick up a new cable cauz i cut mine to short trying to fix it, I dont know it just seems like something that could break or come off 5miles away from the Truck & Trailer, I just dont feel to confident with that set up, r u running the cable in the bottom hole or top,

Re: Help With Throttle on 23 Vanguard w/ pics
I was running it in the top and then switched it to the bottom hole to get more travel.
the only issue I have ever had in the 9 months I have had it was when I sucked the cable down into the drive belt. |
