Default Kawasaki 440 Sled Motor into 84 EZGO

I have just acquired a Kawasaki 440 Motor that I plan on installing into my 84 EZGO.

First (of many I am sure) wall I have hit is how do work out the motor and the stock EZGO Rear end. If I lineup the two clutches it will work but I will have the fastest EZGO Golf cart that only goes backwards. The EZGO Driven clutch is perpendicular to the rear end.

Not enough clearance over the axle to mount to motor over it to its facing the correct direction.

Any thoughts?

I would try turning the gear selector switch around, mine goes the same speed both forward and reverse.

Unfortunately, the 2-stroke transaxle doesn't have F&R like the newer ones so yeah, rotation is going to be in one direction ...

That said, finding a 1994-up transaxle/axle shouldn't be too hard, and all in all would probably be the easiest and cheapest solution with the least amount of hardcore fab work.

I'm completely fine with just forward, where I go is forgiving haha, but could you make it go forward only?
