I'm right in the middle of this as well. Sounds like we both need to add a
3/16" spacer between the clutch halves and machine a 3/16" relief on the helix were the snap ring goes. This starts the clutch off 3/16" wider and allows it to go 3/16" further than stock. If I can get ahold of my buddy with machine tools I hope to do mine tommorrow. If so I'll try to post a pic.

Sorry no pictures yet. We're going to try to machine the clutch this week though.

Here's what we did. We're experimenting but it looks like it will work out nice. We took 3/16" off of the helix where the snap ring goes to allow the clutch to open 3/16 further than stock. We also made a spacer that would hold the clutches 3/16" wider when at the closed postion to accept the 1-3/16" belt.
