Default How to wire a big block

I would like my Big Block to start like a car. Get in, turn the key, put it in gear and go. I am a little confused at what I need with all of the relays and wiring that are in the cart already.

I'm no expert, But I have never used any of the stock wiring/solenoids/relay/micro switch/voltage regulators. Does your motor have an electric start and key switch now? If so, extend the wireing to were you want the ignition switch to mount. Many more here will help. Later Dave

i agree, when i re power a cart i will always strip the carts factory engine and starting wiring and install a harness for the new engine.
it looks cleaner and will be much more reliable

depends on what circuits your engine has.

i used stock wiring harness and works great, i used the factory micro switch in the gas peddle so you have to press the gas peddle, and switch the flipper to start the engine, stock club car key switch. it will idle without your foot.

most engines have an: low oil level warning switch, power to the regulator, starting circuit, charging circuit, hour metering circuit, neutral safety circuit, ext...

i just chose what wire was the closest, and used that.

whats your question?
