Why can't you drill a whole on the right side of the throttle link? That would make it push, Yes?

Well here is the issue with that. The pushing of the cable doesnt exert enough force to actually push the throttle.

See the stock setup was whacky. The stock EZGO Marathon Motor I had actually was a pull throttle like I Have now. Except the gas pedal didnt actually pull the throttle. When you would push the gas pedal the cable from the pedel would give slack to a spring loaded arm which in turn would pull the throttle cable on the carb.

The cable that I have now is just a normal cable, its not solid. It has no pushing power whatsoever. Its very difficult to explain. It was a weird setup.

Buy a late model Ez Go shift cable. It is a morse style cable, push/pull.

Correct I am going to give it a shot. I already know the cable will be too short like that. So.. not sure what I am going to do about that

Same theory. The throttle itself what spring to close, but there was a linkage between the pedal and the carb that was spring loaded... same concept.
