ok well i have a gx 340 in our g2. it has alot of top end and it spin the tires and has endless tourque. i would like to have a alittle more both ways though and i was thinking. what it i put low speed gears in the cart to give it more tourque, and then got a larger front clutch with larger radius sheaves to give it more top speed, so it even out the low end on flat ground, but would give it low end when going slow. just a thought, i could do it, but would it work?

I put an "almost" Honda GX390 13hp in my cart. It was dead off the line (wouldn't even spin the tires, or scuff for that matter) and you had to rev the hell out of it to get any sensation of acceleration.
Just send your clutches to Cart Parts Plus for machine work and you'll have grunt down low and speed up high. |

wow thats wierd, was it one of those clone gx 390's? i have heard there carbs have a alot of trouble and make it lose alot of power. it has a 4 inch lift and 22's and it still has a lot of get up and go, im really pleased with it. the only trouble ive had with it is the pull started, it has messed up from time to time

Yes, it was a "clone." However, now that it's out of the cart. It runs as well as any other Honda.

maybe there was somthing wrong with your angle you had the engine mounted and it couldnt get gas good. i had to adjust the angle on mine a bit to get the oil stick to read right

ok well i talked to a buddy today and says theres a pin in the flywheel and that is probably the problem, im going to investgate tommorow
