Default Galloway's Lesco GT

Ok here are my starting pics.

I want to get rid of all this **** wiring.
I have the factory wiring diagrams for this thing. But it doesn't tell me what I really need to make it run. It just tells me what is on it.

The problem right now is this. Something in all this mess of wiring has gone bad and the starter is not spinning. I just hear clicking. I have pulled the starter off, taken it to a test shop, put it back on, jumped the seliniod ( it turned over) but when i turn the key it is dead.

As you can see from the pics, this car had a vacuum controlled shift system. You hit a cute little button on the dash it would change gears. Problem being I don't drive it on a golf course so the vacuum is clogged and doesn't shift well. I want to take it off, but it has some sort of negative switch that if it isn't in nuetral it won't start. I would like to keep this feature, but with all the wires I am not sure what to keep.

I am thinking take all the wiring out. Keep the harness and just make my own harness with what I really need.

I have a honda vtwin 18hp with the code.
gcac-2028821 with cad2 stamped above it.
the manual calls it a gx618k1.

I found a pdf manual for the gx610-620-670. is this the right manual.

alright on to the pictures. I want to use this cart as a pit cart when i go drag racing :)

Why don't you back out of the engine bay and give us a shot of the whole thing? What is it?

You are so needy scott, but yes I will get you a full body shot.

I have two options. Either a 3 amp or 20 amp charging system, how do I tell what I have?

hmmm. I have never seen a none straight pto shaft

But then again, I work on case loaders, A/C, and Massey diesel tractors.

I think I am just going to pull the whole motor out tomorrow so I can really see where things are.

Just like the manual calls for a 25 amp fuse behind a motor panel. Well I can't find it on the motor, and my setup now has a motor control box. Which looks like a aluminum heat sink with wires coming out of it.

SO this looks like it is going to get fun soon. I have two of these carts.
