Default 16hp Vangard boggin on take off

Got a 2002 EZGO St480 with the 16horse vangard, been running great until I changed the fuel lines, fuel filter and degunked the engine now when I stab it from a dead stop it boggs so bad it barely moves. If I ease into the throttle it does fine, took the filter cover off and has gas residue .I had just cleaned this area prior to installing a new filter so I know this is new to the cart.Did a plug check and plugs are chocolate cream colored,no black soot(rich) or white as a lean condition.like I said before, brand new problem, just started, fuel pump was not touched nor was carb, any help is appreciated

that sounds like a jetting problem. to much or to little air. had that problem on my bikes before. i had a k and n air filter wouldnt run. put the stock back on started right up.

could be cuz nothing was adjusted or fiddled with other than maintenance items listed,I guess I will give it a little time to dry out

ok It has dried out enough,no water in motor or carb, still has the stumble off idle.If I punch it ,it just boggs but if I ease into it it can be babied into full throttle.Does not run like it did with the old filter, lines and fuel filter.Kinda got me baffled.I also notice that the fuel filter does not have very much fuel in it,I don't really see anything but an occasional trickle,Before it was around 1/3 full of fuel

Get a new high flow fuel pump from Tom at CPP and take your carb apart and clean it. Just my .02

Don't take this personal, but is the fuel filter on correctly?
