New (to me) 25hp kholer command Clutch Ques

I got a ch25 im going to use in my g1 but i already have a 780 i belive and since my ch25 is a 1 1/8 i need a 1190 but i can pickup a 1" crank from ebay and just swap out the cranks while im refreshing the engine. Is the 1190 really that much better then the 780 i already have? Since i would have to dish out almost 500 just for a new clutch and i can get the crank for probably less then 50$.

Plus gaskets? Unless you have to go in there anyway? Both clutches work fine. 780 is adequate.

how could i verify if my clutch is a 780? Im sure its a comet and it says max 5000 rpm and says 700 series im pretty sure just the outer half of the pulley is inside the outer dome where the pics i see of the 780 show it on the outer diameter of the dome? (btw scottyb you might want to throw some salt over your shoulder as you post was 666 to the big block area) :)

here is my clutch i have the engine torn down and will machine the shaft to accept the 1" clutch. It says 788 on it along with 5000 rpm
