Reducing crankcase pressure
Is there any way to reduce the amount of crankcase pressure build up on a hopped up 35 hp briggs engine?
Thanks |

Re: Reducing crankcase pressure
you need to give a lot more information to get an answer! new or used, what is the compression? the pressure can build from a few things. 90% of the time its compression getting passed the rings, pour valve seating and wore valves guides can add to it. what do the plugs look like? brown or black! to much fuel will wash down the cylinders also.

Re: Reducing crankcase pressure
The engine has been rebuilt with shaved stock bore pistons (.110) and .120 longer connecting rods. The heads have been decked .060 and I have around 245-255 lbs. of compression. While running the engine is blowing the dipstick out. I know I must reduce my compression but am really not sure what a safe figure would be. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. |
