My first Big Block Project
I am getting started on the first Big Block job this week. I just completed a rebuild of a standard CC. After spending so much time on this board, I have decided to tackle a VTwin install as well as other mods in a donor cart I got my hands on. I know I will be seeking advise from you guys as this project progresses. Attached are pics of the donor cart as I got it as well as the first day of work getting it stripped down.

Re: My first Big Block Project
I have an engine. Now I am scratching my head trying to find exhaust pipe and deciding how to route it when I do get it. Any suggestions on suppliers of pipe would be great.

Re: My first Big Block Project
CPP sells headers for the common BB engines.
If you want to go custom for a muffler, you can look around and see if you can find a Super Trapp. I got one for mine, a little welding to the header I got from CPP and it should be Da-BombA |

Re: My first Big Block Project
Are you talking about the model that looks like an oversized coffee can with varying number of washers in it? I have looked at that one myself. Is it quiet? What effect on performance did it have. Thanks for the help.

Yup, Just like in the pic that Wicked posted. As for sound & performance, the disks are removable, one by one, for a tuning effect. |
