Default G9 with big block driven clutch question

I have CCP's driven clutch power kit (white spring) on my G9. Is it correct I will get better torque if I put the OEM spring back on? I just cant wrap my mind around how this can be, if so. Anyone have first hand account of this. As we all know this spring is a beast to pull just to try and see.

I have first hand experience, put the stock spring back on! The torque from the new motor will stll allow you to "pull" at lower RPM's, but you'll get a better and quicker "shift out" at the higher RPM, that the HD spring is otherwise still trying to overcome.....B4 setting is stock, Tom at CPP told me to set at B2 (even weaker) with a third turn twist, stronger and quicker acceleration.

Yep, no torque spring required, stock at B2.

Great post and replies I have not found the need for a torque spring with a Big Block, they have plenty! Very interesting on the settings you guy's have tried, I've tried so many and never really found a big differance. I'm shure it is also dictated by the primary clutch though. Hopefully, next build....a "Wheel Stander"
