Car engine swap
i was talking to this guy about golf cart engine swaps that people are doing now adays and he said I ought to get this used engine from him to do an engine swap into my 99 club car gas. I told him the rotation makes a difference, size, weight etc... its a 3 cylinder, weighs 120 pounds he says etc....
Now its got me thinking and i cant get it out of my mind now. I know it wouldnt work so tell me it wont so i can get it out of my mind and move on |

Re: Car engine swap
It won't work.
Many have tried and no one has succeeded. Just rebuild your stock engine. |

Re: Car engine swap
Thank you thats what I needed to know, it will not work.
I thought I put that it was from a 1991 geo metro in the subtitle. Now for a 99 club car gas what will work? I only see swaps that you must run the tranny in reverse to go forward & forward to go reverse. So as i see it will not go fast enough. I did a search but didnt see what I was looking for. So what swap, if any out there will work for a 99 club car gas. If not I will probably keep this one stock & get something else. |

Re: Car engine swap
Because of the clockwise rotation the 99 CC is not the best candidate for a CCW big block..... Find an Ezgo

Re: Car engine swap
Ok so lets say stock motors, only the FE350 engine is the way to go then or is there another motor from club car that would work?
What about an older club car? What years of Club cars are good candidates to look for to do a big block swap as i thought i read the engine was different? So any year Ez Go is good to go then to big block? |
