Briggs and Honda V-twin 780 Drive ClutchComet 780 Clone for vtwin golf cart swaps. These 780 series drive clutches come with a 1 inch bore and 1/4 inch keyway. Tuning kits for these clutches are also available. I am not sure of the availabilty of the 780 drive from our sponsors. (not sure who has them yet) I don't think this company would not sell them if they they thought they were junk. Also helped spec them. The 780 Drive uses a standard 1-3/16 inch wide symmetrical CVT belt. ![]() ![]() I say clone because they said, and I quote, "The 780 drive is no longer manufactured in the U.S".........

I'm officially confused..... Tom only has 2 more 780's left for the CC BB conversion kits. No more until a replacement clutch is found. Yet, this clutch is touted as a 780 replacement. Is it larger than the 780?

Yes, In a PM yesterday. I'm in a pickle, I want to add the BB kit to my 90 model CC that I'm rebuilding now. Don't need to spend the money on the kit until my extra truck sells.....but he's almost out of kits because of the clutch. With my luck, the day the truck finally sells he'll be out of them!

Well, hopefully Tom will have some of these "780 clones" by the time you are ready.
