Default BB Project finished, now that I found the forum

Well it figures, now that my project is finished except for paint I found this forum and all the great info. My project turned out fine, actually pretty sweet. Here's the details;

I started with a Hyundai golf cart with a blown engine, given to me by a friend for nothing. Completely gutted everything from it and kept an eye on Craigslist for a donor motor. Sure enough, I found a wrecked 1992 Suzuki GSX750R for $300.

I pulled out the stock Hyundai swing arm and rebuilt it out of slightly heavier square tubing. The 750 motor fit perfectly into the cart, even letting me use the stock gas tank. I did however have to raise the body 3", which I did by cutting off the whole rear frame and adding slugs turned to size by a friend for a body lift.

We used the stock wiring harness off the bike so it was easy to add head lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc.

For the rear axle I bought a keyed shaft from McMasterCarr and pillow block bearings. We used taper lock collars to mount the sprocket and brake rotor to the rear axle. All sprockets and brakes came right off the bike.

We even fabricated a foot clutch with jockey shift that works flawlessly. On the first test run I stuck my gps in my pocket and down the road we went. We didn't know it at the time, but the engine was cutting out due to a loose fuse socket. We still ran 67 miles an hour, in 5th gear at about 5,000rpm. The engine red lines at 12,500 rpm, so we had 7,500 rpm in 5th gear plus a gear to go.

I'm going for the rat rod look with it, planning on flat black paint with red highlights here and there.

I plan on tearing the body off to prep for paint in the near future and I will take some pics at that time if there's an interest.
