big block brakes
I am building a diesel kart and am looking for brakes that are strong enough to hold back a heavy kart and trailer.
what is the cheapest system i can use? |

well dont think your going to find cheap and good .. were are you located? there is a 4 wheel hydrulic disc brake that stops out carts at 40 mph on a dime..

i was just thinking cable run disc on rear axle.
the kart itself is for workin so i dont want to spend big. |

hydraulics are too much of a pain where the sun dont shine for the cost
my limit is 200 bucks |

Perhaps a good boat anchor and a stout rope. Sorry man I don't think you will find a brake kit for $200 but keep us posted. Sometimes all it takes is someone saying "that can't be done"

For $200 you could get a boat anchor and a rope
You may as well leave it stock and drive accordingly ( as if your brakes were inadequate) As these guys say hydraulic disc is the way to go..... in a front only set, they start at around $350.... and well worth it |
