Exclamation HELP!!!! Im Wanting to Install a BIG BLOCK IN MY EZ GO

I noticed the directional rotation of the Kohler Im using is clockwise while standing looking at the shaft side. I then noticed that If I put this motor in my ez go that the motor will be turning the wrong way.
How are you guys doing this by putting these Big Blocks in.
Please let me know soon, I seen this and decided to sell my kohler twin and theres a guy claims hes coming to buy it this weekend. So I need help before I possibly sell this motor. I dont want to sell it if I will be able to use it in my cart..
THanks

What did the Kohler come out of? Most (just a fraction from all) small engines turn clockwise looking at the flywheel (counterclockwise looking at the crank).

My best suggestion is to sell that and use the money on a Big Block kit from Cart Parts Plus. Their link is in my signature.

Ok, I double checked it and it rotates in the right direction.
Have some questions to anyone.
Do I need to get a special mounting plate or just make the one that the motor is fastend to work?
Where do I get a clutch for a 1-1/8" shaft?
And this is a Twin opposed engine instead of a V-twin, Will there be clearence issues?
Thanks for the help.

You can get the clutch from Tom at CPP.

You will need a motor mount.Ezgo uses 2 pieces. One from the rear end to the motor. One from the front of motor to front mount. So factory motor is part of the mount.

So your engine came with "pull start" and you used your starter/generator to correct that problem ? Very cool. I guess necessity "IS" the mother of invention. Dave

I installed this for a guy, the engine didn't come with a starter or charging
system so the stock starter/generator was retained and it works real well
with the stock 18hp vanny and starts just like a stocky..so the pull start is
a back up..!!
