Default Honda 18hp in my G2

Looking for a little advise.I'm puting a honda 18hp into my g2,I realize i have to come up with my own cradle. My main question is,what should the distance be between clutch's? I have a stock belt but it seem's like it will be way to short. The motor almost seem's to be on top of the rearend.
What to do.. I am getting ready to order my new drive cluch from CPP,what else should I be looking at getting to get this project runnung????

A seat belt and helmet! Probably a new belt.

Ok,Ok so it's not actually plastic. But it's not something I would really want to beat on with a hammer or anything... What is the correct way to install it? I just would rather not find out the inncorect way after the fact..lol

The clutch should be .002" larger than the shaft. IT SHOULD just slide right on. Try it without the key first.
