Honda 18hp in my G2
Looking for a little advise.I'm puting a honda 18hp into my g2,I realize i have to come up with my own cradle. My main question is,what should the distance be between clutch's? I have a stock belt but it seem's like it will be way to short. The motor almost seem's to be on top of the rearend.
What to do.. I am getting ready to order my new drive cluch from CPP,what else should I be looking at getting to get this project runnung???? |

Re: Honda 18hp in my G2
I received my clutch today. Now I just need some advise how to install it.It doesn't exactly just slide right on..lol..The clutch seem's just a fraction smaller than the shaft..How do I install it without breaking the plastic sleeve on the clutch?

Re: Honda 18hp in my G2
Ok,Ok so it's not actually plastic. But it's not something I would really want to beat on with a hammer or anything... What is the correct way to install it? I just would rather not find out the inncorect way after the fact..lol

Re: Honda 18hp in my G2
The clutch should be .002" larger than the shaft. IT SHOULD just slide right on. Try it without the key first.
