Default Anybody ever done this setup?

Is there anyone out ther that has done a Motorcycle engine into a golf cart and used a jackshaft CVT with the high speed gear redcution (6 or 8:1)

I am leaning to that setup, but cannot help but wonder if the gear reduction would not help by reducing the need for extreme high rpms to get speeds up to 50 or 60 in 6th gear. I really think the high rpms to get to 50 or 60 will wear out the clutch and the diff. Whereas with the gear reduction, you could attain those speeds at a lower rpm range?
