Electric to Gas
I just bought an older ez-go limo, body is excellent shape, I want to change it from electric to gas, the person I bough it from was going to do this but was retired and moved alot. With the cart I got a 18 hp b&s, a transaxl(auto) and a older Ford riding mower. I am new to the cart game, but have everything to do cutiing welding, and whatever. I think I can extend the rear about 20" use a belt to connect the engine to the transaxle, use dual cogs to a carrier bearing, drop it down to 1 cog, and go directly into the rear end............(where the old electric motor bolted.....Let me know guys I knowI am crazy, but is it possible. I only have $450.00 in it, and it has a nice body and top.....CAN IT BE DONE....

Re: Electric to Gas
im converting an old cushman to gas using an atv engine.. it really depends on how much fabrication you want to do, and how much money you want to spend.. i know around here you can get a running old beater cart for 300-600 and an electric for as low as 100, but your going to spend more than 200 or 300 converting to gas.. so it would be worth it to get a cart thats already gas, unless you plan to go the atv/bike engine route.

Re: Electric to Gas
I already have the cart, and most of the material to do it, but I really like the idea of an atv or bike engine, it would be a lot less fab work, I was thinking of extending the cart about 24" and putting my engine their. Thanks New Guy for the encouragement, and that would be great if I could buy a cart at the price adbradley quoted, but around here you cant buy anything less than a 1000.00 bucks.......wish me luck and I look forward to the post.
