debating big block...little help
ok so i have a G1...the 2 stroke power band is nice....BUT i would give it up in a heart beat for low end power. If i could do 20 mph topped out and have some nice low end rock crawling power i would be THRILLED! My G1 just doesnt have any low end AT ALL. now once you get the revs up its got all you want. im just wondering if a big block will do what im wanting? also what engine will be best for me? fab skills are not a problem and it will be a winter project more than likely but im just seeing if its what i want to do

Re: debating big block...little help
The low end power from a big block is AWESOME! You would not be disappointed at all. You will need to find a 4 stroke rear end if you want reverse. On my G1 "Geep1" I used a G9 rear end with a 16 hp clone engine, the power is great and tops out at around 30 mph with 22" tires. I would much rather have a Vanguard V-twin though like I have in my G9.
