I'm gonna bump this up for ya with my limited CC knowledge. At some point on the 350 they went to hydraulic lifters so no adjustment is required, necessary or possible, but I thought it was around 2000. That year in a 290 is .005 inches intake and exhaust, cold. Is there an adjustment possible on the motor you have?
