Default I just bought this for my Workhorse

I ran across this engine with one hour to go and after some intense thinking I decided to buy it. My options were to either buy this engine or a used 14 hp briggs for the same price. Tough decision.

Does anybody know how that speedometer hooks up and if I can use it on my workhorse? I'm afraid it hooks up to the tracks or something on the snowmobile. Hopefully it hooks up to the primary clutch.

I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if this will mount on my big block motor mount...the one Walkntall sells.

It should mount to it with minimal work. His mount is just a platform. All he has done is cut the holes for the Briggs footprint. Fill those in, line up the motor, mark your holes and drill them out.

That's what I was thinking. I had a snowmobile engine before but it was to big and wouldnt fit between the frame rails. This one looks closer to stock engine size. I think the hard part will be the wiring since I have no wiring talent. But thats ok there is a Arctic Cat dealer near me so if I have trouble maybe they can help.

Engine came yesterday and I was able to put the lift kit and motor mount on. I set the engine in today to see how its going to work and it looks really good in there. The motor mount I am using is from Walkntall and it is great for this engine. Only thing is the clutch sits low on the engine so it hits the motor mount. I will have to make some kind of adapter to get the engine up higher. Shouldnt be to difficult at all. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

Get some u shaped metal channel and mount so the opening is down. That should do the trick! I had to do that!

I was thinking something like 2" square tubing and bolt the engine to that then the tubing to the motor mount. I was looking at it again a few minutes ago and I might need to get the engine as high as possible because there may not be enough room for an air filter. It could hit the rear end. Who sells that u shaped channel?
