Default Quick Question

Will an electric cart be okay to put a 600 Honda engine in? I have the engine and a line on a free electric cart.

Thanks!!!

IMO you would be better off selling the electric cart and starting with a 4 stroke gas cart.

Anything can be made to work, but starting with an electric cart rear axle is not the easiest way to go. I know from my current build that if you don't have the parts that everyone else is using, you will have to come up with your own plan. If the cart is free, then you should be able to sell the electric rear end and use that money to buy a gas rear. (It will not be a one for one deal, gas rears go for 250-700.00 depending on condition and type of cart.

There are other options, but do some research before you start, make up your mind what you want to do, then get started. We'll all be here to help if you need us!

Forgot to add that you will have to make your own swing-arm or graft one off of a gas cart, lots of cutting and welding involved to do that...sorry!

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with the freebie I have, it is in such good shape just no motor or batteries. I have a line on a few other carts, one of which is gas powered so I may be able to use the rear end off of that.

I'll post from time to time with my decision and progress. Trust me, I will be asking questions and picking everyone's brain for advice.
