Default bar for clutch

found a new comet clutch but the size is 1 1/8" Shaft with ¼ inch keyway

can i get a bar that slides on my 1" shaft off my 16hp vanguard v-twin that will fit nice in side the clutch ???

and have a machine shop machine a 1/4" keyway down the bar/pipe

scottyb did u have a set screw to hold that bar in place ? or is it held in place with the keyway ?

We used the step key. It works great.

I have no idea. A friend and I made it in his shop. You should ask your local machine shop before you purchase the clutch.

You may find it might have been cheaper to buy the right clutch.

Seems to me Roady is right. Mine worked out because I didn't have to 'pay' for the work it took to make the sleeve. Pixs of my motor may do you no good as mine is a 720cc Robins and the clutch is a model 1190 but, here ya go ~ always happy to show the big block

that's what i might get and have it cut to size from that company and just have it bored out to a 1" hole and have a keyway slot made

im not familiar with metal bar but whats the strongest stuff i can buy from that site ??

would be easy if i can find a PIPE that has a 1" hole so they dont have to drill one
