You should have no problems with a 24 hp.

Need some of the Glamis guys to answer that one. Normally I'd say don't run too much tire in the sand as some spin can help you, but I never ran a GC in the sand with a twin. My stock cart would not do sand, with the trail pros it will roll over level sand nicely but when I climb it just digs a hole because it has no speed up a hill; it is not a question of traction. With low power floatation is king the way I see it.

I'm building my G2 up and over the winter I will be installing a 24hp with hop ups from CPP. I'm very interested in hearing from anyone that plays in the sand as part of the use of my cart will be in Pismo.

My plan is to run a 21" paddle to be able to keep the tire speed up and keep the bite of the paddle in the sand and not bog down. I was in pismo last weekend and saw a couple of "OVERLOADED" rhino's get stuck on some very small dunes. Since the cart is less stable then the rhino and the front end being so light I really dont want to have to roll down backwards.

Any ideas / experience's would be apperciated !!!

I air down and can go on most of the small dunes at buttercup.. i can get to the top of buttercup hill if i dune it from camp.. I'd like to try some paddle tires out too.. i think that would be great. i'd be curious if you could find a wheel with the correct bold pattern with paddles to match?

I think polaris uses some 4 on 4 wheels?
Paddles:

Seems like some mud tires like bear claws or mud machines would work well, or gators and super swampers for example are nearly paddles anyway. Could try some of them backwards too. Oh, 589s are good snow/sand tires too.

Check the Razr and snow tires
