just picked up my new project!!!!!!!!!
well guys i found a complete 98 ez go cart for 400$. i mean its a steal. body is a little ruff but seeing as all my goodies from my cart in my avatar will bolt right up, i am going to make a monster gasser now. screw this electric stuff lol. i have a kohler 23hp motor that i may stuff in it or a cbr 600. if i can find a decent 600 with all the stuff i need to make it go such as harness and all that goodness i will go that route. just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your help and i will post pics up tonight of the new cart and the whole progress part. i was also thinking of a turbo diesel or even throw the turbo on the kohler. i have a pretty good shape garret t27 that would work perfect for either setup. just not sure what motor to go with now lol.

Re: just picked up my new project!!!!!!!!!
just an update. found a complete gsxr 600 setup. going to go that route. picking it up today and will start fabbing motor craddle this weekend. going to go with a sprocket on the rear transaxle and going to mount a foot controlled clutch pedel that uses the stock hand clutch setup. that way i can operate it like a real car yet shift with a lever type shifter. what all will i need to do to my rear end to make it somewhat livable with this setup?

Re: just picked up my new project!!!!!!!!!
Don't dump the clutch. The guys are saying since the MC engine will rev so high and has plenty of power without clutching that they ease it into gear at low rpm and just drive around with the throttle no problem. Once you get into the power they have plenty of it. They shift carefully if they have to but say they don't shift much due to the wide spread of rpm they run.
