Re: is it worth the $$
It is hard to tell the condition of the engine without seeing it, but just from the list of goodies that were installed on the engine I would jump on it for that kind of money.

Re: is it worth the $$
That's a heck of a deal if it checks out! Sounds like someone set it up for racing of some sort. You won't have a charging system with that flywheel ....and you will probably need to run premium or better fuel, that thing is gonna have serious compression.

Re: is it worth the $$
You would need to mount the starter/ gen back up from the old motor, or get an automotive alternator mounted and working. That means getting a pulley on the PTO somewhere, probably on the fan side. Not easy to do. Or charge the battery all the time. Makes running lights or other accessories difficult......Or put a stock Briggs flywheel and charging unit back on it, the seller probably still has it.
For racing not having a charging circuit is no big deal and that aluminum flywheel spins up very quickly, for everyday use it's a pain.... |

Re: is it worth the $$
Just make sure the stock flywheel can handle the rpm it will run, clones this is a big problem the magnets fly out but B&S are better, but I don't know much about their flywheels.
