Default Kohler Motor?

Anybody out there use a Kohler motor for a cart? I have a good deal on a 20 HP Kohler and was wondering if its a good idea? I have one in my old Ferris mower and its powerful as hell and indestructable! Any pitfalls or should I stay with what looks to be the tried and true Vanguards? Thanks all of you guys again!

i believe just the tallness is a factor if ur putting it in a cart, and they don't make many performance parts for them, and a larger shaft correct me if im wrong

If it's one of those chinese aluminum abominations like they put in my Husquvarna mower I wouldn't walk across the street to spit on it! 72 hours total time, shortly after it's third oil change it grenaded. When I bought my Ferris mower they tried to "Upgrade" it to a Kohler, HA! It's sad what Kohler has become.

as mentioned, the kohler engine is really tall and hard to fit under the seat,im sure you could fab a motor mount to drop it a few inches.... but yes they are great engines
