Default Honda V Twin – Club car Transaxle reverse direction? Best Setup?

I need Help. I have a club car transaxle, not sure what year, but the pulley is set up on the passenger side. I am going to put a 24hp Honda v twin in it but I have found that it is a counter clockwise rotation. This is a cart built from scratch so I don’t have anything to reference to know how to put it together. I assume that the motor should be mounted with the pulley on the driver side?? My question is can I just switch the axle around so that the pulley is on the driver side as well? From what I have found on other posts that I would then be running the axle in reverse which does not seem to be a problem. Is this the best setup? Or should I mount the engine backwards so that the pulley is on the passenger side? I am really lost on how I should do this. I didn’t realize when I was purchasing the parts that I probably bought the wrong axle for this type of setup but I don’t want to have to buy another one.
Any input would be terrific. Thanks!

Just turn the motor 180. Don't mess with the rear end.

Here are a few pictures of the axle mocked up. I am turning an old Harley Cart into a Limo. Still working on the engine support.

How are you going to control rear axle twist up?

The twist up will be controlled by the engine support. It will be solid mount on the axle and a heim joint in the front creating a sort of Triangle suspension. All of the "Full Articulation" suspension kits i have found are not really full articulation...they have solid mounts on the axle at every point which binds. I am adapting 4x4 concepts to get a "Real" articulating rear suspension. I will post more pictures once i get it mocked up.

So here is the motor mount installed. This setup has a crazy amount of Flex! The only thing that will limit it will be the shocks. I also included a picture of the front end. The a-arms are from a trx250r. I ended up cutting off all of the old tubing and fabricated my own to get the geometry correct.
