Re: What rpm are you guys clutches engaging at?
i,m running a 2001 yamaha g16 with a 16 vanguard with a custom made comet 94c[took 2 new clutches and machined stuff to work like i wanted],22" tires.it engages 1200-1500,and i can tune it to do different.i run a jr dragster[sun-pro] tact,so it should be pretty accurate.

Re: What rpm are you guys clutches engaging at?
I've got an idler bearing in my clutch, so I'm dropping in at about 1200.

Both of mine engage at low rpm as well, 1200 max. The last one I used on the Geep1 cart is a CPP-06, good clutch in my opinion it's well made.

Re: What rpm are you guys clutches engaging at?
I have a Comet "780" on Wilson. Talked to Tom and he had a extra set of (purple, as I recall) stiffer springs. Now it engages at about 2000 rpm....It's "kick in the pance" PS- after I received the spring kit, I couldn't figure out how to unstall them. Called Tom and he walked me thru it over the phone Tom, thanks for all the help you've given me and to everyone at BGW!

My CV Tech came from Tom at CPP as well. He listened to what I was looking for and came up with this clutch. It exceeds my expectations |
