i am useing a 50 1/4" belt with a stock e z go rear and a cv 06 1" shaft front clutch. does anybody know what the shaft to shaft measurement is? i don't want to drill a bunch of holes when i mount my big block motor. it looks to be about 13" but i'm not sure.

The OD of both clutches can vary, so there is no "typical" or stock measurement. The belt you are using is on the long side of stock measurements. Most fabricators try to get a measurement that "fits" a readily available belt length so you only need to slot motor mounts a little bit. The standard "ScottyB" method is to use a string or cloth measuring tape and measure around the center shaft of the drive clutch and the outside edge "circumference" of the driven clutch, and add two inches. This is the belt length you need to use.......

There are lots of belts out there. I run a snow mobile belt, 1/16" wider that stock. It's 45 13/32 OD. I find them on EBay cheap from time to time and have bought spares. I put together a spreadsheet of all the Dayco/ Carlisle snow mobile/ ATV belts by length / width a while back. Most are in the 45-47" range. Let me know if you need a copy......
