Default yamaha g22

hey im getting a 23hp motor next week so im pulling out my stock motor is there anything i need to keep from it and also what all will i need to get to put the new motor in i was looking at the cpp kit but that more than i wanted to spend so can anyone help me out never done one before.

Don't get rid of it until you are done I'd say. You will need a clutch or adapter if you use stock clutch. You need the old fuel pump and get a pulse fitting on the new engine someplace, or you can buy the smaller pump they use on gokarts. You don't need the ignition parts from the cart engine or the entire engine. You will have to come up with or make the engine cradle/mount, clutch, airbox system, exhaust system, linkage for throttle maybe choke if you use it. Need a key switch for the lawn engine too, unless you put in a starter button and relays to use the cart key.
