removing vanny flywheel question
I can't pull the flywheel out all the way ,the ring gear is hitting the mag. How critical is the mag position. Can I mark it and slide them both up and fasten them down again at the marks after I reinstall the fw? Do I need to measure the gap? I have no service manual.
Tom? you out there? |

Re: removing vanny flywheel question
nevermind.I found the air gap measurement on the briggs support FAQ. I was gonna post the check chart I found, then decided to check the stickys above, and sure enough Ron had it posted there all the time
Although,I am still curious why this isn't mentioned in the rev kit instructions for the flywheel removal. maybe I'm just holding my mouth wrong or the fw is caught on something. ps thanks Flintrock |

Re: removing vanny flywheel question
I use some thick paper, and push it in the direction that advances it.
