Default Able to pull wheelie w/ 24hp?

Hey guys,
I have an 01 EZ GO with a honda 670 24HP. It will get up an down big hills with ease and seems to have plenty of torque and will hit almost 35mph WOT. Another guy I know has a Briggs 23hp that will pull and ride a wheelie and is also able to hit 40mph.
How is this possible? Your are either geared low or high but both??

Thanks for any tips/advice. Would love the torque to pull a wheelie for show and still hit 40 mph

Flap Jack,
Youve got the power-now you need a clutch or a clutch adjustment.
When purchasing my 16hp clone I called Tom at CCP and told him to set a series 6 clutch for pulling wheelies. Before my motor went in all the stock crap on-top of motor was removed, gas tank, hand throttle air cleaner ,and exhaust box, along with internal governor removed, and removing timing key and advance timing to about 20' that made the throttle response
seem instant.and a few upgrades ,The first ride Illbeit with son on back seat stood the old girl right up on back bumber. In fact it ripped the diamond plate off back bumper.
So it is possible , remove son and replace with battery in old bag well.
In short, timing advance
clutch
move a little weight around lean back and punch it.
I have pictures of me and the boy at Sears-Point in Sonoma Ca. busting
300 foot wheelies, dont know how to post them yet.

Are you kidding me, toy money was cut off long ago...but I keep a secret stash for necessary things such as this....and boats, beer and big trucks. I just realized how much of a redneck I am!

Once a friend of mine got an old 4 wheel EZGO with the 2 stroke. He put a spring in the clutch from a comet out of a sled. With two guys it would stand right on the bumper taking off. Was not lifted but surprised the trans held up. Of course it drove very poorly with that high engagement. Later he put a larger carb on it and blew it up. Just saying there is a lot of adjustment in cvt clutching.
