Big Block Willys Almost There
Just about finished with my Honda 620 V-Twin conversion. Top and windshield will be the finishing touches. Only thing bad about it is that I have to stop and start it to put in gear. Anyone recommends some off road tires? With a 3" lift can't go over 20.5" diameter. Do they make or what can be modified for rear air shocks?

Re: Big Block Willys Almost There
All the cart places have 20" ATV type tires, finding something that looks like an old jeep tire is not so easy. I found one and told TheNewGuy but they were really expensive too. Some use airshocks off bikes like the goldwing? Or special ones for offroad buggies. You might get a different clutch or modify it, or fabricate a brake on the secondary clutch to shift with it running. It is a typical issue on big block carts with key engine starting not with pedal.

It's one of the downfalls of the engine no longer being slave to the accelerator pedal.. if you had a stock engine in one, and had it "hot switched" like I used to, the same thing occurs. Lift IT !! and find some military looking treads for it..sweet body on that cart ! |

Very cool You should feel proud. Why not just paint those rims to match the body color? Or do you want Jeep looking taller tires?

That's my next project is to paint the rims. I only have a 3" lift and don't know if taller tires would work.

Re: Big Block Willys Almost There
It's back to the shop. My nephew crashed it into a tree, even after I told him that the turf tires don't hold too well on a wet pavement.
Any ideas for tires? |
