Briggs Vanguard oil in air cleaner
I am still getting a lot of oil from the oil breather tube into the air cleaner. I pulled both valve covers off and the oil looks good and the rerturn oil holes appear not to be plugged. I am assuming the oil breather works like a check valve? Should it pass air one way and not the other? The engine is pretty level and I dont think thats the problem. I dont think I have too much oil in the engine by looking at the dip stick. Any more help out there?

Re: Briggs Vanguard oil in air cleaner
The G9 yami will promptly fill the airbox if you put just a little too much in it, but I dunno about vanguards. All the equipment I have run with them I never had that problem, but never overfilled one either. If its not overfilled then not sure. Could check compression see if it has a lot of blowby, or did someone take a part/filter out that catches the oil or something. Some engines do it at high rpm but seems like someone here would have been all over that, and they can run 3600 all day no problem.
