Default CC engine plate??

I have gotten my 93 CC ready for my 16 hp vanguard engine. My question is has anyone had to modifiy the motor plate to bolt the motor down? I sat it on the plate today and it will have to sit on top of the main two bolts on the front of the cradle at the snubber to hold the plate down. The starter is about .75” from the rear end, and I’m going to have to install a remote oil filter adapter because the oil filter is hitting the cross brace on the front of the cradle at the snubber. Is this a normal obstacle and easily overcome or is this going to be pain in the** to make work?? How do I make the mounting plate holes so I can move the motor for belt tension?? Thanks

Slot them I imagine. You should check in the "big block" section of BGW. There is a stack of information in there about various engine swaps.

There should be someone around here that did one. Can you raise it a little to clear stuff, maybe just raise the rear a little? The remote filters are sort of common issue even in lawn equipment. They use hydraulic hoses they are not much to get made to size around here. If you cheat you can get the remote part for a big car filter for more oil capacity. My lawnmower also has an oil cooler on it, its maybe 6x12 or such, like a trans cooler. So then it has three hoses on it.
